The results are in from Illinois and eMerge Genetics varieties performed well above average.  In fact they were very impressive.  As you dig into the regional results, you will notice that more often than not, there was an eMerge variety at the top of that region.  This is just more proof that the Schillinger Seed breeders are making excellent selections for performance and traits.

As you start looking at region 2(Monmouth, Goodfield, and Dwight), you will find that 348.TC was the highest yielding variety of all group II’s and III’s tested in the Non-GMO Test.  This matches up with the 3 year data that the Schillinger Seed breeders have collected where it has been #1 in all 3 years it has been in Schillinger internal trials and that was in testing against the best GMO varietes in the industry also.  The other eMerge variety in that maturity range, 317.TC, that wasn’t in the Illinois Variety Trials, but did incredibly well as an earlier companion product to the 348.TC in the Schillinger data sets.

When you start looking into region 3(Perry, New Berlin, and Urbana), you will notice that 348.TC did very well again with a #3 ranking of all group 2 and 3 varieties tested.  As we looked at varieties tested in both region 2 and 3, eMerge 348.TC had the highest yield by 1 bushel.  This is a large region when you average those together and it is situated in the heart of a very strong Illinois Non GMO grain market.  We are very confident that 348.TC in this region will give producers  maximum profit opportunity per acre with the premium opportunities that are located there.

As we look at Region 4, (Belleville and St Peter), 435.TCS was the number one Group IV commercial variety tested.  435.TCS is SCN resistant and also tolerant to Sulfonylurea herbicides.   435.TCS from eMerge genetics has been a very stable product over multiple years facing many different environmental situations.  435.TCS and its companion product 477.TCS will be big time performers in Southern Illinois, Southern Indiana, Southern Missouri and Northern Kentucky markets.

In region 5(Elkville and Harrisburg), 477.TCS was the number one variety tested by over 2 bushels.  477.TCS because of its relative maturity at 4.7, SCN resistance, and tolerance to SDS and Sulfonylurea Herbicides, will be a dominant force in the market for both first crop and after wheat acreage.
